Virtuous and vicious cycles

好循環と悪循環
Hello! This is Orsel Saito.

One of the things I learned in MBA school that has helped me in my work is "circulation."
This is a phenomenon in which one effect gives rise to another cause, which then becomes an accelerating cycle.
This is also known as the chicken-egg relationship, where it's hard to tell where the starting point is and the finish line.

for example,

【vicious circle】
Sales are declining → advertising costs and points must be reduced → access decreases → further sales decrease → repeat

[Virtuous cycle]
A certain measure is effective → Sales increase → Think about other measures you can take and continue doing what you can → Results appear → Repeat

This is the phenomenon.
Everyone knows the terms vicious cycle and virtuous cycle, but I think few people are able to apply them to their own businesses.

The characteristics of this cycle are that it is difficult to escape and that it continues to accelerate.
When I look at our customers, I feel that we are often able to analyze the current situation in a circular manner rather than in terms of cause and effect in a one-to-one manner.
This is true in our personal lives as well, where negative people tend to become more negative, selfish people tend to become even more selfish, and popular people tend to become even more popular.

The way out of the vicious cycle is

1. Recognize that you're in a vicious cycle
2. Identify your thinking habits and break them

These are the two points.

However, I think it would be quite difficult to notice and acknowledge this, and to break away from the thinking habits that are causing it, on your own.
I think there are probably people like that around us in our private lives as well.

A customer who had been experiencing a decline of more than 20% compared to last year until June has now broken out of the vicious cycle and is now experiencing a decline of over 30% compared to last year.

We help you break out of negative cycles and reverse them into positive ones.
