How big is the market for the manufacturer you are dealing with?
How much did your competitors sell last month?
- Where do I currently rank overall?
What do customers want?

Research is about finding out.

And only by combining this with "analysis of your own data" can you find a breakthrough.

Let's use watermelon smashing as an example.

When there are a lot of watermelons and few competitors, that is, when the market is still immature, you may be able to successfully split one blindfolded.

However, when there are more competitors than watermelons, that is, when the market is mature, you have to take off your blinders, check your place, and be the first to find and split a watermelon.

This is especially true if you have a rival who has already taken off their blinders.
