The front page of yesterday's morning edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun read "Xi Jinping Confirmed for Third Term," but the front page of the Nikkei the previous Sunday (10/16) featured an article about cross-border e-commerce.

----------------------------------

"Cross-border e-commerce is back in the spotlight due to the weak yen"

"Popular Japanese products, a chance for small and medium-sized businesses"

"By 2021, 10% of Japan's exports to the US and China will be cross-border e-commerce"

"Kurenai, a curtain manufacturer and retailer based in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture, has opened a store on Amazon.com in the US, and their high-quality domestically produced curtains that are invisible from the outside but visible from inside are very popular."

"BERTRAND (Kyoto City), a bento box retailer, has monthly sales of 12 to 13 million yen this year."

"48% of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises are considering cross-border e-commerce, 10 percentage points higher than large enterprises."

"Cross-border e-commerce is a great opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to transform their business structure and management."

----------------------------------

Some of our customers have registered products that are sold at nearby department stores as a set with their own products,
Some people say that when an order comes in, they go out and buy it and deliver it,
I sometimes think that if I were to register seasonings, retort pouches, and other food products from Seijo Ishii, which is near my house, as products on Shopify at an Amazon store, they might actually sell well.

Cross-border e-commerce is said to become commonplace in the future, so why not start small now and get started?
