The battle for online shop territory

ネットショップの陣取り合戦

Hello! This is Orcel Saito.

This month, I am continuing to manage Rakuten Market, a role I have been entrusted with since last month.

Currently, with Rakuten SEO, we are ranked number one for the keywords we were targeting.

I was also able to pull out A-kusa Ihan, which I had always wanted to do.

There are still very few reviews, but we've already surpassed products with dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of reviews.

This will allow you to expect consistent sales every day.

--------------------------------------------------

Not just on Rakuten Market, but in any shopping mall, one of the key elements of competing is deciding where to compete and how to dominate the search results there.

In particular, I think that for shops that are just starting to generate sales, thinking in this way is easier to understand and more likely to produce results.

Register the product.
First, create the top page and product pages that you will need.

Once this is done, the battle for territory begins.

The key points of the battle are:

1. What is the battlefield in the first place? (There's no point in ranking first in a search result that doesn't sell.)

2. Win somehow on that battlefield!

There are two types:

Of course, there are also things like participating in mall events, encouraging people to visit, and creating repeat customers, which have their own benefits, but the basis is a battle for territory, which could be compared to building a structure and laying the foundations.

Just as a building becomes unstable if the foundation work is not done properly, I think that in the end, if the management is indecisive, sales will tend to be left to chance.

In fact, customers who have been successful in the battle for territory have seen their sales increase dramatically.

Once you have found a battlefield, ideally you would be able to dominate it with multiple products.

And once that's done, we move on to an even bigger battlefield.

I think there are many shops that have found this to be the key to increasing sales.
